Welcome

How to get the most benefit from this program

The most practical way to measure learning (and the impact of this program) will be by the amount of sustained behavioural change a few months down the track. We sometimes use the analogy of a weight loss program. Imagine you spent 3 hours with us and heard everything there was to know about diet, exercise and weight loss and then left us feeling inspired and knowledgeable – even going so far as to teach what you’d learnt to others. But then we caught up a few months later, and you hadn’t lost any weight. We would say you hadn’t learnt anything- no change, no learning!

“I hear, and I forget. I see, and I remember. I do, and I understand. “

- Confucius

There are steps between hearing/seeing, understanding, and learning. Perhaps you’ve had that experience where you’ve overheard (or seen on a documentary/news etc.) something that caught your attention. Excited you try to describe it to your friends only realise considerable gaps in your understanding as you struggle to explain it eloquently. There’s a difference between knowing and understanding.

The deeper learning from these modules will come as you put them into practice and form new habits. This takes a little time. Neuroscientists tell us it takes 28 days of intentional practice to lock in a new habit. For this reason we highly recommend our habit builder platform that allows us to stay with you for 28 days to help/coach you as your awareness grows. Regardless of whether you opt to use this tool, we'll provide you with further information about replacing your existing habits later in the program.

***Please email us at [email protected] at any stage if you would like to add the 28 day habit builder to your program***

Each module will have a little pre-reading to get you set up for learning. There will then be a few questions to ponder afterwards. We recommend you reflect on these questions for a while as there will be no 'right' answers, just opportunities to gain some insights. You may well come up with some quick answers that feel great, only to adapt/improve them as time goes by.

We believe reflection is an essential part of the learning process. You will be unable to progress to the next module until you have reflected on (answered) a few questions on the current module. There are no 'right' answers and you can go at your own pace.

One Final Suggestion

This program intends to help you generate practical insights into becoming more resilient rather than just provide more information on the topic. Don’t rush; relax, enjoy the ride. If you’ve ever seen a movie or read a book more than once, you’ll know you can get a whole host of new insights or nuances the second (third etc.) time around. You’ll have access to this course for 30 days to see/read everything as many times as you need.  Put your analytical, look for difference, take lots of notes, habits, aside and just get the gist. Once you’ve got the general idea, then go back and choose what approach will help you most as you re-watch.
